You should ask yourself these questions first:
" Do I have the time to devote to the Chapter and the Members? You should devote a minimum of two hours of your time per week to IIRA Chapter business.
" Am I computer savy? All correspondence with the IIRA Tribal Council is done with e-Mail.
" Am I located in an area where there are a number of Indian Motorcycle owners or other motorcycle owner/riders? You need some way of building your Chapter membership.
" Am I a tolerant person? Running a Motorcycle chapter is generally a thankless job and you will run into personalities who conflict with your own. The IIRA is an inclusive organization and we don't discriminate based on race, sex, hair color or motorcycle brand.
" Am I a Leader? Are you the type of person who can safely lead a Motorcycle organization, including selecting Chapter Officers, planning and executing Chapter Events and increasing your Chapter membership?
" Am I a Rider? Do you ride your motorcycle as often as possible? Do you ride long distances? The more you ride the more experience you have and the better you'll be as a ride leader. This is especially important when you get new rider members into your Chapter. They'll be looking to you for guidance as to what to do (and not do) when riding in a group.
If you can answer "YES" to all these questions, you're a good candidate for an IIRA Chapter Charter Holder. We look forward to hearing from you.
